Est. 2020 Sabakujou has focused on multi-titling our dogs through AKC, UKC, IABCA, NIPPO, FCI in conformation and performance sports such as NASDA, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, Joring, Nose work, coursing, and more. The goal? To maintain the integrity of the Shikoku’s distinct hunting background in a modern world and maintain the rare Black and Tan coat color.

We did it! Through lots of travel, many practices, and a few set back, Haiiro made history with me. He became the first Shikoku in U.S. History to earn his Open Barn Hunt title. This required 3 clean runs, finding 4 rats, running though a a multi-corner tunnel, and climbing stacks of hay bails. We got two clear rounds in Vegas April of 2022, and finished out last clear run June 2022 in Michigan. Now let's conquer Senior!

I am so profoundly astonished and humbled after this weekend. Not only did we have an amazing set of dogs in the competition my dogs were honored with Best In Show all 3 days. I still cant believe it. Juvia took BIS Saturday and Jikio won Friday and Sunday.

He is my everything and continues to astound me. Haiiro became the first Shikoku Ken to earn the title Emerald Grand Champion.
